Sultana Dumplings

 

Suet Dumplings combined with sultanas

Method

Combine the breadcrumbs, suet, sultanas, salt and freshly-grated nutmeg in a mixing bowl. In a separate bow, beat the eggs then add to the dry ingredients. Combine with a palette knife until the mixture comes together as a bowl (add a little milk if the mixture is too dry). Work with your hands to bring everything together then divide into dumplings. Place a steamer over a pan of boiling water, add the dumplings and steam for about 10 minute, or until cooked through.
