Lemon Sauce


Lemon SauceLemon Sauce. An excellent sauce with a  tang of lemon. Ideal accompaniment for a whole range of puddings


  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • grated lemon zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon butter



In a saucepan, combine egg, sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest; cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add butter; stir until butter is melted.
